Adept Management's roots go back to a collaborative research programme in the early 1990s. A recognition that complex processes needed to be understood before they could be managed gave rise to the nucleus of a methodology which, subsequently, became known as the ‘Analytical Design Planning Technique’.

Collaboration between academia and industry developed thinking and knowledge which delivered a stable of robust approaches to managing complexity and improving processes - at both a business and project level. The growing industrial interest in these approaches (and the exciting tool-set that was emerging) was such that in 2001 Adept Management was born; a mechanism through which to take the expertise, experience, and learning to market.

Today, Adept Management’s consultants are working at the cutting-edge of design management and process streamlining; delivering their unique mix of best practice and practical experience to organisations spanning diverse sectors. This is complemented by the ADePT Design software suite that allows customers to implement the ADePT methodology within their own organisation.
